Field DayWhat is Field Day?Ask any Amature radio operator and they will all give you a different answer. But, they all have same principle, preparing for an emergency. EPCOM participates in the annual, North American contest called Field Day. EPCOM holds Field Day at Castle Park in Port Coquitlam on the last full weekend in June. The Field Day exercise is intended to allow Amateur Radio operators to practice communication skills under primitive conditions, with generator and battery-powered equipment and portable antennas, to contact other Amateur Radio operators throughout North America.
